Uni update.

This semester all my classes end at 6pm except Friday's a holiday. I'm still not quite adopted to anthro classes although it's already the third week. I've no idea how to pass it well. So worried about it. Worst still, there will be assignments due every following week. Now its worried + stressed.

I think the best lectures so far is quantitative methods, something like stats. Sometimes her classes can be so tensed and breathtaking, but I still manage to follow her pace. That's good. Leadership, on the other hand, is slowly getting uninterested to me. Uhmm probably because of the tiredness at 4pm.

It's the second day of the week and I'm totally exhausted. Because of that, my assignment mood is still not turned on! Even frussstrated! >E

Alright, my bed is calling me now so.. sweet dreams everyone! (:

Some friends would know that I have phobia on snakes since young. Psychologists say phobias are not born, they are created. After I leant the topic learning in my course, I started to think hard where did I actually pick up such phobia. Unfortunately, the answer remain unknown until today. I'd only seen snakes in zoo where my family and I walked through a forest-like place and one super long fat old black snake is sleeping on our left, not caged at all my god! That of course are followed by the typical snake shows where a picture of you with the snake around your shoulder will be taken. The second experience about snakes is when a yellowish fat one was found in the living room of my dad's after-retirement-house. Even that, I only saw the bomba catched it out and flip it forth and back at the end of the road to make it faint/die from far.

Since then, I am so fear of snakes. I can't look at cute cartoon snake on movie, books! Even the simple outline of it, no way. I can't have any touch with its name, in any language! I think snakes in bahasa melayu is the most ewww. You know the hand gesture of snakes? No way too! Whenever I hear any sounds in kitchen, the first thing pop in my mind: snakes! Even the shower head in my bathroom looks like snakes T_______T I tried hard not to think that everytime I shower. If I accidentally saw one in books, tv, I stop moving as I feel that it is slowly going round my neck! Crocodiles, dragons are still fine because at least they have legs! and of course, their skin textures much better. Why do they disgust me so much and being so fearful to me? Alright... here's the list.

1) They have no legs, but THEY CAN LITERALLY STAND UP.
2) The omg tongue.
3) SKIN TEXTURES.
4) They deskin ishh! (I remember the name of such process starts with the letter E).

Recently, I've been really wanna overcome this fear through a technique called systematic desensitization. I started by pronouncing its name, by looking at its name, by touching the name. Besides that, I imagine and visualize it in my head very often. I look straight to its eye and not fear of it. In the past 2 months, it has also been appearing in my dream quite often. In the dream, it comes so near to me and I struggled. In this case, I usually woke up imagining that the pillows and blanket on my bed are actually snakes. Then fall back into sleep in a few minutes.

Anyways, the main point is that I will break through this phobia bit by bit! Yayy.. one day I will look at it eye to eye in real !

P/S: So much of goosebumps and imagination writing this post. :X

If you are stuck in a traffic jam while heading to college in the morning, try to observe the cars in front, side and at the back. What would you notice? Most of them are driving alone. To my knowledge, a typical family car can fit up to 5 persons including the driver seat. However, we don't make full use of the seats. I think if everyone is willing to compromise and practice the habit of carpooling, there are many benefits that we can gain from! Such as? Car petrol, car services, save parking lots & parking fees, smoother traffic, lesser air pollution, and maybe lower accidents rate?

Come on, talk in maths! When you're driving alone, you pay for whatever expenses that costs. It includes tol fees, parking fees, petrol money (btw, Ron95 increased another 30sen again) and etc. You even need to go for car services more often because of the increased millage that your car reached in a shorter period. However, everything turns the opposite if you're carpooling with friends! You can equally divide each expenses. HAHA do you see it?

I have the urge to hop in others' car whenever I spot there are many empty passenger sits in it. Then I start doing the counting in heart, imagine how nice would the traffic be if each car is fulled with human being.

Yes yes, I know carpooling is troublesome. But I believe we can make it happen. That's when compromise steps in.

So, anyone wants to carpool? :P

Besides carpooling, I have something to share here as well ! It happens that my girl friends love to keep shopping receipts in their purse after they shop. I've the same habit too. We trash them off whenever we feel like tidying our wallet. Instead of throwing them into the bin, here's another interesting and save-our-mother-earth way of eliminating such unwanted pieces of papers!

First, you need an EMPTY facial tissue box which I believe every household has plenty of them. Then, insert all the small irritating receipts or even unwanted small sized papers into the box. Collect till it is really full and then recycle everything together.

Keep up the habit of recycling if you do practice them at home. If you don't, no harm trying it because you'll feel happiness like I do! :)

Hahah these are the packets I ate few days ago (except the milk can) and they are now placed in the recycle bin at home. I'm very into yogurts and full cream milk and maggie curry soup recently! ;)

P/S: Chatime lovers! Don't forget to recycle the plastic cups after the slrrpy drinks :D

Just so you know, my classes have already resumed on Monday. Yeah, another new semester. 3 subjects seems kinda light and relax but everything has to be covered in 7 weeks. By then I'll be having another one month holidays! So excited for its arrival as I've had my plan on! :)

Anyways, I still can't decide weather to stick with intro to anthropology or drop it. Friends around are dropping the subject one by one ever since the first class. I don't wanna take up a subject that even myself doubt I can do well. Neither having a ugly timetable. Arghhh! How??

I remember we have been planning on visiting Taman Pertanian since foundation year but the plan has always been delayed and delayed. It was a last minute confirmation that we were finally gonna hit the place on the Wednesday before my semester started!

The entire driving journey was indeed dangerous and ganjeong-ness! Glad we reached the destination safely as we were depending on technology aka GPS. Not much people there on a weekday. Paid entrance fees, ride on a bike and there we start riding like a kid again.

Here's a small part of the entire route that we passed by. Look at the tall trees at both sides. I'm not sure was it us or the activities there were closed that day. The place was so quiet and peaceful as we ride along the way. When we were going up the hill, most of us needed to get down and walk with the bike instead. When the hill was going down, everyone hoop on it happily and enjoy the cool breeze that slap on our faces as the bike rolled down at fast speed. It felt like a reward after enduring the tiring uphill climb.

Us stopping to snap a picture with greens surrounding. And finally...

A group picture using self-timer. We tilted our head to the left on purpose as the camera was placed imbalance. Everyone looks cute here what haha!

Then we had lunch at Sushi Zanmai and some of us grabbed Chatime before everyone headed home. That night I have muscle pain on my buttocks! I think I'll probably not visit the place again because first, it is located too far and second, activities provided are not really active as what I've seen.

I'll update more since my engine is started. Time to crack head about the textbooks I'm getting.
Great day ahead peepos!

It's 4 in the morning and I gave up trying so hard to get into my dreamland. My psych textbook says when you have insomnia, don't force yourself to sleep but get up and do something light so that your eyes and brain feel tired. So, I suppose blogging is so called light activities right?

The weather recently is really driving every Msian crazy I guess. It's so hot, dry and stuffy everyday. Lucky thing is that I've no assignments and exams right now. Else, I will go peekaBOOM!

Anyways, we're tagging along with Eleng to Pyramid at 9am later. She goes for class while we go shopping. Tsk, such a bad distraction I know. Hmm I'll probably catch some sleep in her car before I really shop. Visited the mall a few times and it never fail to disappoint me every time! The place is so huge and I can't even spot on things I want. But people loves to shop there don't they? So now I've learnt the mistakes! I checked on its official website and jotted down the codes of the shops we wanna get in! Save time save energy and bye bye frustration yay!

Lunch at BarBQ Plaza tomorrow! Omg, I'm so hungry already. Hope we got something there this time! Great day ahead peeps!

I’m a Pirate, Take Me To Stranger Tides! at 2:49 AM

Ahoy! Guess what? Nuffnang is giving out a pair of glasses to catch another long awaited movie this year - Pirates of the Caribbeans: On Strangers Tides in 3D! Hope I'm not too late though!

Pirates of the Caribbean 4

So there we go, the best 3 things being a pirate!

FIRST: HAPPY HOUR 24/7

First, a pirate can easily hijack people for free liquor! Sailing on the sea 24/7, beer is always the best accompany for them. They could stop any cargo that passes by their territory and force them to pay "tax". In this case, it would be the BEER! With that, they can stay high all day long with pirates' songs.

Anyway, they could get anything they wanted within a... snap.

SECOND: TIME & FINANCIAL $$$ FREEDOM

A pirate has plenty of free time and piles of ka-ching $$$! They have no job, no responsibilities and no worries about what comes tomorrow. Happy go lucky in a slumber life.

In terms of money, they don't even have to bother about it. Whenever they need it, they hijack and ask for ransom.

THIRD: AWESOME SUNRISE/SUNSET

Being a pirate can also enjoy unlimited sunrise and sunset 365 days a year! Just get on top to the deck, and they get to experience the closest horizon-standard-view of sunrise/sunset. Unlike us, they don't need to travel anywhere just to enjoy this beautiful moments.

What's your idea then? Feel free to join the contest too! Pweese give me the tickets. *fingers crossed*

I may not look like one but deep down I'm really obsessed with make-ups. I think makeup tools are so tempting and fabulous. Best still, it transforms us to a new look! (only if they are applied well).

Have you all ever heard of Michelle Phan? Well I do. When I first know about her on youtube, I thought she is a Malaysian. In fact, Michelle is a Vietnamese-American. She started off by sharing make up tutorials on Youtube and later gained recognition from both people and media. She's also the spokesperson for Lancome beauty products in 2010.

Her make up techniques are just great as it is. If you happen to view some of her video tutorials, you can easily get along with her way in make up. Because every steps are pretty the same. What makes her tutorials stand out among all will be her ability to come out with creative and all sorts of styles that you can name!

Here's a casual make up tutorials of hers! The title says it all (:

I wanted to put up one of the tutorial she shared just two days ago for people who wear glasses. But nah, go Youtube - type "sexy glasses michelle phan" and you'll easily get your way to the video!

Her videos are by far the most inspiring make up tutorials for me! I've tried our some of her techniques on eye make up, but herm.... I need to practice more. But really, watching them on videos make me feel like grabbing more tools from the mall.

I admit that putting on foundation and skincare concealer do make us look awesome at times! However, I insist not to apply them unless we really need it. Even that, remove that very carefully and detail. The more we reply on it, the worst our skin is as we grow older. Natural is beauty yeah?

Feel free to catch some of her videos on youtube by simply searching "Michelle Phan"! A whole lot of her tutorials from basic stuffs like shaping and plucking your own eyebrow to a funky transformer!

Keep more updates by adding her in Facebook! :)

Apparently, my blog is the last stop I could come to before I mentally breakdown due to boredom. Clock's ticking its way and here I am, feeling so awful looking at how time passed slowly.

I wanna share something that I held with me all this while.

You know very often in life, we hear people giving rejections and negative feedbacks/thoughts about an object, events... anything at all. Everyone does so, including myself. We give all possible excuses and reasons to generate a sense of avoidance, ignorance, lack of interest, etc to others. If we sit down and really think, those excuses are pure bullshits. They're just a substance for us to feel better and move on.

"Nothing is impossible", the quote which the chairman of my high school used to favor a lot is actually starting to make sense to me. 3 simple words, but it brings a difference in life when we truly get it.

Circumstances is not the reasons to stop us from doing anything. In fact, knowing the truth will lead us forward. Because...

What you say is what you hear;
What you hear is what you see;
What you see is what you get.

Say, my goal is to come out with my own designs of women footwear and name it upon my name in future. How to make dream comes true?

I'll keep telling myself that 'I am a famous women footwear designer, I own the name' every single day. When you meet up with failures along the way, don't stop but continue the repetition. The words come out from your lips, and they arrive at your ears. The ears got the message, and your eyes start to see the goal coming. The visualization in you will eventually have you succeed and achieve whatever you called them - dreams.

This sounds impossible, but hang on! Because people around the world have already proven it. As I said, we may be at different circumstances but that do not make any changes at all. In our mind, we already know the truth (that I will come out with my own brand on women footwear one day). Therefore, take the journey of making it happen as a passage of time. In another words, the process is always there unavoidable.

As our words can be so powerful, be careful of what we say. Negative sayings can easily have an impact on ourselves, it is even worst when they come from people around us.

Slowly, I'm making a change about it too. Lets do it together. (:

Holiday is always great! It's a couple of days for us to recharge energy and slack around to do anything without having worried about classes, work, etc etc. But I prefer to keep myself busy. My activities rate have been going downhill recently. Worst still, my sleeping time is totally messed up. Gotta fix it soon. Otherwise, I might fall asleep in classes again~

I just came home from Viva Mall not long ago. The interior design and the shops there suit perfectly for people who look for house decoration and furnitures. You can have all choices from shop to shop under one roof. Convenient isn't it? Also, the ambiance and the setting of restaurants there are not bad too. Another thing is they have cinema in it. Although leisure mall's GSC seems to have the cheapest price and nearest cinema to my area, at least Viva's third row sitting doesn't make your head go kaku.

Baby & I wanted to just look around at the mall but then decided to catch the movie fast and furious 5! No regrets and as my friend commented, the movie is indeed awesome! Vin Diesal (Toretto) looks EXTRAattractive with his cool smile in the movie!

See? Don't even talk about the fight, even his stare can kill.

I quite love this scene where Hobbs (The Rock) was so confident that he was gonna bring back Toretto till he says, "We're now in Brazil, not America" with all his people increasing the heat (firegun).

There are a few other scenes where he literally said, "Who's hiding? Tell your boss exactly who's doing this". So macho right! I just love the character and the role he play here! 2 hours is absolutely worthy.

Hahah anyways, it's been really long since I last paid a visit to cinema. Both of us used to visit cinema almost every week back then but now I seriously think that was just total lifeless. Hence, we cut down a lot since end of last year and only go when there are great movies. The great time I had with baby plus the great show indeed enlightened my entire night! :)
